Designed as a single-use, in vitro diagnostic self-test for the qualitative detection of HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies from fingerstick whole blood. It can also be used by healthcare professionals; suitable for self-testing or professional settings
Each individual kit (varies by configuration: 1-test, 20-test, 100-test) includes: Test cassette (foil pouch) Desiccant pouch Dropper Buffer vial Instruction for use (IFU) Single-use blood lancet Alcohol prep pad Cotton swab Disposal bag (for 1-test kits; not always included in multi-test kits)
Prepare the Test Kit:​ Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.​ Open the test kit and lay out all the components on a clean, flat surface.​ Collect the Blood Sample:​ Use the alcohol swab to clean your fingertip.​ Use the lancet provided to prick your fingertip and wipe the first drop with a dry cotton wool provided ​ collect a small drop of blood up to the ‘ mark line’ of the disposable Pipette provided​ Perform the Test:​ Squeeze the top of the dropper and add all of the blood into the specimen well.​ Twist off the buffer tip and add 4 drop of buffer solution to the ‘buffer’ well ​ Time for 15 min.​ ​ NB:Do not read interpret results after 15 Min
